Sonos Pro AV Solutions Debut at InfoComm 2025

Sonos has long been known for its dominance in home audio. Now the company is making a serious entrance into the professional space with the rollout of Sonos Pro AV solutions. The company’s first entrance into the commercial US market happened at InfoComm 2025. Not a big booth like at ISE, but a space to show off the tech and discuss solutions.

A New Chapter for Sonos

Sonos Pro AV solutions are engineered for smaller-scale environments such as fitness studios, retail shops, cafes, and boutique hotels. The goal: simplify AV installs while offering centralized control and reliable audio distribution across multiple locations.

A cloud-based management platform designed for commercial applications is one aspect that makes these non-consumer. Sonos Era 100 speakers deliver full-room audio coverage. The “Pro” part comes from the PoE aspect. These speakers are wired and powered over ethernet/network cables.

What Sets the Era 100 Pro Apart?

Launching in the second half of 2025, the Era 100 Pro evolves the consumer-friendly smart speaker into a tool fit for professional use. Key features include:

  • Lockable power cable to meet safety and compliance standards

  • Ceiling and wall mounting options for flexible placement

  • Enterprise-grade streaming and access controls

  • Native integration with the Sonos Pro platform for remote management

This speaker retains the acoustic performance of the standard Era 100 while meeting the demands of commercial integrators and IT administrators.

Enterprise Everything

Don’t sleep on that “enterprise-grade” part. There are two aspects of the software that make these wired streaming speakers unique. The first is the streaming part. If you are playing commercially licensed music in an establishment, you are technically supposed to pay a licensing fee. Some bars do, others don’t. Not here to judge. The fines can be dramatic should you choose not to follow the rules. With Sonos Pro AV solutions, the fee is included.

The other aspect is the access controls. No longer do you need to constantly monitor what your nighttime bartender is playing versus what is happening during the day. You lock down what can and can’t be played. It’s a level of control consumer versions of Sonos doesn’t have.

Where Sonos Pro AV Solutions Fit

With this move, Sonos Pro AV solutions target a clear gap in the market. Companies that want reliable, high-quality sound without the infrastructure or complexity of traditional DSP-based systems.

It’s not positioned to replace large-format enterprise audio systems. For businesses looking to scale simple, connected audio experiences across locations, Sonos now has a compelling answer. And with a familiar interface and streamlined deployment, the learning curve for IT teams and AV integrators remains low.
