Introducing the Professional Audio Visual Society of Canada (PAVS.CA): A New Era for Canada’s AV Industry

Canada’s AV industry has a new voice with the launch of the Professional Audio Visual Society of Canada (PAVS.CA) on July 7, 2025. This not-for-profit group aims to bring together everyone working in the AV space from integrators and engineers to content creators and educators, under one inclusive, national platform. With networking, training, mentorship, and advocacy at its core, PAVS.CA is here to connect and support AV professionals across the country.

Why now? As the Canadian AV sector grows, the need for a unified and collaborative community becomes more urgent. PAVS.CA is calling on industry professionals to get involved, whether as members, volunteers, or partners to help shape the future of AV in Canada through diversity, connection, and innovation.

A new national not-for-profit organization is making its debut to support and elevate professionals across Canada’s dynamic audio visual (AV) industry. The Professional Audio Visual Society of Canada (PAVS.CA) launches July 7st 2025, with a national mission to foster a connected, inclusive, and forward-thinking AV community.

PAVS.CA is a groundbreaking initiative that brings together individuals and organizations from every corner of the audio visual landscape – from integrators and technicians to designers, educators, manufacturers, content creators, and beyond. With a strong commitment to inclusivity and collaboration, PAVS.CA welcomes members of all backgrounds, experiences, and disciplines, reflecting the diverse and dynamic nature of Canada’s AV community.

PAVS.CA’s mission is clear: “to elevate audiovisual professionals in Canada through networking, education, mentorship, and advocacy.” The Society brings together individuals from all sectors of the AV world, including live events, systems integration, film and broadcast, sales, distribution, programming, design, and institutional support to form a connected, mutually supportive, and inclusive community.

“The AV industry in Canada is thriving, but it needs a unified voice and a clear pathway for growth,” comments Gregory Rushton, Founding Chair of PAVS.CA. “Our goal is to foster a vibrant, inclusive community that supports lifelong learning and opens doors for the next generation of AV professionals.”

Call for Partners: This initial release marks the beginning of PAVS.CA’s journey.
